BW Industrial Development JSC, one of Vietnam’s largest industrial and logistics real estate developers, has commenced construction on its BW Phu An Thanh Industrial Hub (PAT) project in Ho Chi Minh City.
This is the company’s 13th project to implement this year, surpassing its initial 2024 goal of 12 projects set earlier in the year.
BW Industrial Development JSC is a joint venture between American private equity giant Warburg Pincus and Vietnamese top industrial developer Becamex.
Strategically located in Ben Luc district, PAT offers great connectivity to key industrial and logistics hubs. Within a 60-minute drive, customers can easily reach Tan Son Nhat International Airport, Cat Lai Port, Hiep Phuoc Port, and the city’s bustling downtown.
The continuous improvement of transportation infrastructure, particularly the completed Binh Chuan-Ben Luc route and the Ben Luc-Long Thanh Expressway project slated for completion in 2025, will also enhance connections between Long An and major manufacturing centers and ports in Binh Duong and Dong Nai provinces, including Nhon Trach Industrial Park, Long Thanh International Airport, and Cai Mep deep seaport.
Once completed, the PAT project will feature a ready-built factory (RBF) cluster offering approximately 54,000 square meters of total floor space.
Additionally, the project is well-connected to major manufacturers such as Coca-Cola, Honda, Mitsubishi, Bosch, and Hyosung, making it an ideal hub for industries like automotive, electronics, electrical equipment, food and beverage, and machinery.
The project is scheduled for completion by the end of Q2/2025. As the first province in southern Vietnam to receive government approval for its master plan for 2021-2023, with a vision until 2050, Long An is emerging as a key manufacturing center.
Thanks to strategic initiatives led by the government and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Long An is poised to leverage its geographical advantages and favorable policies to sustain dynamic economic growth.
The province has attracted significant investment commitments from global corporations such as Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, and Yokorei, with pledged capital of $136 million, $185 million, and $52 million, respectively.
Earlier, on December 4, BW had broken ground on the BW Deep C 2 Industrial & Logistics Park (BW Deep C 2) in Hai An district, Hai Phong city.
