Vinhomes Green City, covering 197.2 hectares in Hau Nghia township, Duc Lap Thuong commune, and Tan My commune of Duc Hoa district, is expected to open up investment opportunities and contributing to the prosperous development of the region.
The project boasts a strategic location that provides strong connectivity between Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta region, which is experiencing rapid urbanization and industrial development.
The urban area’s inter-regional connectivity will become even more comprehensive with the completion of major infrastructure projects such as the Gia Nghia-Chon Thanh Expressway and HCMC’s Ring Roads 3 and 4, and Metro Line No. 2 from Ben Thanh to Tham Luong, which will provide direct access to major seaports, airports, and key industrial zones.
Vinhomes Green City is designed with multiple open traffic axes and a large-scale commercial complex spanning 9.6 hectares within the development, forming an initial framework for a vibrant trade center in the northwestern urban economic corridor of HCMC.
Regarding the living environment, the urban area will be developed with a low construction density, offering an ecological living space for an estimated population of 40,000.
It will feature a vast park system covering nearly 36 hectares, including entertainment parks, sports parks, ecological parks, and internal parks, all designed to meet residents’ daily needs for recreation, physical activities, and health care, complemented by a modern and civilized green transportation infrastructure.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Nguyen Viet Quang, vice chairman and CEO of Vingroup, stated that as the first mixed-use urban development project in Vingroup’s ecosystem in Long An, Vinhomes Green City will not only create a new, modern living standard for residents but also serve as a catalyst to attract businesses, investors, experts, and highly skilled workers to live and work in the region.
In Long An, the Vinhomes-VIG consortium has also been given in-principle approval to implement the Phuoc Vinh Tay New Urban Area project in Can Giuoc district. The project covers 1,089.6 hectares, with a total investment estimated at VND90.8 trillion ($3.55 billion).
In July 2024, the Can Giuoc district People’s Committee held a meeting to announce the recovery of land from around 3,805 households and individuals for the project, which is expected to begin construction in 2026.
