Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) on Friday announced that its operational capacity has increased by 34 per cent year-on-year to 11,184 MW during the first half of FY25. The company released its provisional update for H1FY25 and said that the growth in capacity was driven by the greenfield addition of 2,418 MW of solar power plants and 450 MW of wind power plants.
Adani Green said that in terms of solar power plants, H1 saw greenfield additions of 2,000 MW in Khavda, Gujarat and 418 MW in Rajasthan. Further, for in terms of wind power plants, it announced greenfield addition of 250 MW in Khavda, Gujarat and 200 MW in Mandvi, Gujarat.
The company recorded an increase in sale of energy by 20 per cent to 14,128 million units backed by robust capacity addition.
AGEL’s solar portfolio, meanwhile, achieved a capacity utilization factor (CUF) of 23.9 per cent supported by 99.4 per cent plant availability. Wind power recorded CUF at 35.7 per cent backed by 95.0 per cent plant availability. And the hybrid portfolio demonstrated a strong CUF of 42.9 per cent, with 99.6 per cent plant availability.

Earlier in June, Adani Green Energy had said that it is looking to invest Rs 2 trillion by 2030 to achieve its goal of 50 GW capacity, and is targeting earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) of Rs 50,000 crore by the same year. “If you look at Rs 80-90 lakh per MW, we are looking at Ebitda of Rs 50,000 crore,” Sagar Adani, Executive Director at Adani Green, had saif. The company achieved an Ebitda of Rs 10,462 crore in FY24.
