Edtech giant Unacademy has promoted Abhishek Pipara to chief financial officer for its Unacademy Centres division.
The move comes as part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its leadership team and drive growth in its offline learning segment.
Pipara, a chartered accountant and company secretary with over 16 years of experience, has been with Unacademy for over six years.
During his tenure, he has played a role in leading fundraising efforts, and overseeing acquisitions. In his new role, Pipara will focus on improving efficiency, unit economics, growth, and profitability at the offline centre level. Prior to joining Unacademy, Pipara held positions at startups and consulting firms, including Little App, Zovi, and Deloitte.
Gaurav Munjal, co-founder and CEO of Unacademy, expressed confidence in Pipara’s capabilities, stating, “Abhishek has been instrumental in our journey, driving financial efficiency and strategic growth. With his leadership, I’m confident we will continue to scale and excel as we move forward.”
