Food delivery platform Zomato has announced that its co-founder and Chief People Officer Akriti Chopra has resigned from her position to pursue other interests.
In a regulatory filing, the firm said that Chopra tendered her resignation, with effect from September 27, 2024. Chopra had been at the company for 13 years and played a vital role in setting up and scaling Zomato’s legal and finance teams in her previous role as CFO.
Prior to joining Zomato, she spent three years at PwC in the tax and regulatory practice.
In January of last year, Zomato’s co-founder and then Chief Technology Officer, Gunjan Patidar, resigned after more than a decade with the company. Earlier, in November 2022, another co-founder, Mohit Gupta, had also stepped down. Gupta, who had been promoted to co-founder in 2020, previously served as the CEO of the company’s food delivery business.
