Canadian telecommunication company Telus (NYSE:TU) is evaluating a potential spinoff of a large real estate portfolio. Telus ticked higher by 0.5%.
Telus has identified about 200 properties it might develop or sell with a gross value of C$2 billion to C$3 billion before costs, Telus Chief Financial Officer Doug French told Bloomberg in an interview published on Friday.
The company is considering a separate real estate investment trust and a public offering, according to French.
Telus (TU) has a market cap of C$32 billion.
