Accenture said Arundhati Chakraborty will assume the role of group chief executive of operations, effective from September 1. In her new role, Chakraborty is tasked with expanding Accenture’s $10 billion operations business and enhancing innovation for clients by leveraging generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and automation. Chakraborty brings over 30 years of industry experience to her new position, where she currently oversees delivery and transformation operations for 185,000 employees across more than 125 intelligent operations centers. Her work focuses on driving rapid transformation through the use of analytics, AI, and automation.
Julie Sweet, chair and CEO of Accenture, praised Chakraborty’s extensive experience and leadership capabilities. “Arundhati has a profound depth of expertise in partnering with clients to achieve large-scale operational transformations,” Sweet said. “Her dedication to developing innovative services and talent, particularly in GenAI and automation, ideally positions her to lead our operations business successfully.”
