Equity REITs logged a 29.2% Y/Y decrease in proceeds raised through at-the-market offering programs for Q2 to $3.36B, S&P Global Market Intelligence said.
The proceeds mark a 17.6% drop from the prior quarter, S&P noted.
Welltower (WELL) is said to have raised the most capital through ATM programs during the quarter. The health care REIT sold 16.70M shares for $1.61B, nearly half of the total proceeds.
Ventas (VTR) was the next on the list, with the health care REIT gathering $420.7M through a sale of 8.6M shares.
Other names in the list include CareTrust REIT (CTRE), Omega Healthcare Investors (OHI), Digital Realty Trust (DLR), Essential Properties Realty Trust (EPRT) and EastGroup Properties (EGP).
Among subsectors, health care REITs reportedly raised the most proceeds in Q2, collecting about $2.63B through ATM programs.
Single tenant REITs and data center REITs followed, raising $225.5M and $178.8M, respectively.
